Young lady's dress of white cotton dimity. Entirely hand-stitched. Appears to have been reworked at least once, with several later additions. Longer sleeves appear to have been added on later, with an expansion as well.
High neckline, with a slight point. Small darts at bustline, indicated front of dress. Inside of front of bodice has linen lining on sides - not in front, which indicates possibly reworking on dress front. The slight point at neckline opening may not be original. Dimity is cut on grain rather than on bias, as more often on dresses with this slight point in CF.
Back (or what appears to be back) has a two-buttons closure. Bone buttons, self covered. Double drawstring in back, at waistline. Different use of panels in the back indicate reworking as well.
Body of dress is long, with the slightest of volume in hem diameter - two tucks at hem. Unlined skirt.Collection
