Description

"Hand stitched drab gold silk bonnet cover, slightly darker lining; long tubular shape with deep interlined (batting) bavolet, shirred at top edge. Two layers stitched together or sparsely quilted, thin layer of batting. Braided linen tape drawstring through front edge of brim; two more in farther. Shirred at edge meeting horseshoe crown. Self ties attached at corner of bavolet and brim.
