Description

Entirely hand stitched fine cotton. Back is long leaf-shaped panel; adjoining curved sections at sides and top. Each has vandyked edge and stands away from body of cap. Face and neck edges have 1/4” casing; fine drawstring around back, and 1/2” white silk plain woven ribbon around front, seems intended to tie under left ear. The whole gathers close around head and face, stands away in back somewhat. Ayreshire type white embroidered tulips and fern leaves with net centers. Ground densely covered with tiny eyelets.
