Entirely hand stitched thin white cotton. Horseshoe crown, deep brim with tiny neck and front casings. Loops for ribbons at corners. Additional casing near back of brim. Design of circles and ovals made of heavy cotton boullion-stitch forming corrugated outlines. Connected with leafy branches; vine border; French knot florets scattered about. Circles filled with knit ‘bobbinet,’ ovals with sprigged same. One looks like needle lace.
