Description

Entirely hand stitched cap made of India muslin tamboured there, probably; appears to have been recycled from earlier dress. Made in 3 sections: 2 side panels with curved tops joined by a piped seam to a long central rectangle, its sides gathered into the seam; band of hand made Valenciennes insertion down the center from front to back. Side and back have self frill; front has frill embellished with fagotting and satin-stitched vandyked edges, more coarsely executed.
