Description

Infant’s cap, entirely hand stitched fine white cotton. French style with small circular crown set into encircling brim. Fine plied cotton drawstrings in four casings around head, and one in back. Field filled with satin stitched white dots; two bands of floral borders between innermost casings. White cotton satin, seed, outline and eyelet stitches. The crown has free scalloped border; inside has scattering of leafy sprays and flowers with needle lace fillings.
