Description

Entirely hand stitched white cotton. More or less tubular, pieced at seam for more underarm girth (?). Embroidered with white cotton French knots and satin stitch forming dainty diagonal meanders sprouting little fronds, space between specked with dainty florets. Separate cufflike extension having narrow borders of French knot guilloches separated from field by fine pulled thread work. Field embellished with hollow bobbinet-filled buds trailing sharply curved leafy steams. Still bears thread traces from armscye seams.
