Fine muslin embellished with what looks to be Chikan embroidery but isn’t - could be Indonesian. Teardrop shaped area with a round neck opening, filled with satin and couched stitches, drawn thread work and some eyelets - buta motifs intertwined with fronds and buds. reinforced edges of back opening, string ties at base.Initials LL [?] loosely worked in red cotton in proper left back hem. These do not correspond to identified family names - perhaps a daughter of Richard Lawrence, his mother, or the like."
