Description

Entirely hand-stitched girl’s chemise made of heavy cotton. Cut in 2-pieces with a butt seam in the back. Square neckline, deep. Wide shoulders with reinforcements. Neatly top-stitched. Underarm gussets. Short, tubular sleeves. Cotton plain weave tape drawstring in the back only. Length of tape attached to one side only, just above the hem with no apparent purpose. There are the remains of threads in an uneven line across the back, and more along the sleeves.
