Description

Entirely hand stitched, embroidered white muslin with gauze stripes. Stripes have tamboured cotton vines; rest with linen satin stitched leaves. High waist with inset plain cotton waistband. Narrow skirt, straight in front, gathered onto waistband in back. No fasteners. Short jockeys with piped edge and 5 little vertical drawstrings around edge. Seems incomplete. Long baggy plain muslin sleeves with narrow straps of other fabric at wrist, Dorset buttons. Collar is medium sized rounded, double-layered with cording at intervals to provide a little stiffness to the curve; edged with plain muslin frill. Seems teen-size.
