Description

Entirely hand-stitched small boy’s skeleton suit made of off-white fustian (linen on cotton warp). High-waisted. Shallow, wide neckline. The back opening of the bodice is secured with large, concealed hooks. A diagonal line of small 4-hole bone buttons on each side front of the bodice, down the back, and across the back of the waist to secure the back opening of the pants. Many buttons down each side opening of the pants at the side back (only alternate ones function). A pair of vertical slits on either side of the center front open to pockets. Wee hole appears to have been sewn up or not existent but has clumsy brown stitching to secure the seam allowances. Long, full tubular legs, sleeves full at the top, with neat pleats in the armscyes. Faux-angled turnback cuffs.
