Description

Entirely hand-stitched child’s sacque made of cotton velveteen. The fabric is printed with red-outlined yellow stars scattered on a dark brown ground. Very wide flaring shape suggesting that it is to be worn over a skirt supported by a hoop. Slight flaring long sleeves. High self-bound neck, secured with two self-covered buttons with the stars nicely centered joined by a cord loop. Wadded. The back and upper sleeves are lined with pink glazed cotton the rest is lined with blue checked silk; hand-quilted in squares.
