Description

Entirely hand-stitched frock coat made of light blue pineapple cloth or pina with ivory and darker blue cross stripes. Top-stitching in rather large running stitches with brown cotton thread. Unlined. Edges piped with fabric (striated brown / black cotton satin) used for buttons. Waist seam, underarm dart curved for long-waisted fit, side back seams. Rather wide sleeves with deep turn-back cuff. Rather high standing collar and revers. Medium-length, close-fitting skirts. Pocket in the proper left tail. Angled breast pocket with welt. 3 buttons in front, 2 on tails, covered with irregularly striated buff wool or mohair. The top button anchors a little extension tab with a button.
