Description

Entirely hand stitched, brownish yellow silk thread, brown cotton sateen. Chevron cording in bust area front and back; high waisted. Wide shoulder straps come close together in back; wide, high, straight neckline in front. Neck, arm and hem edges bound with brown twill tape. Lined with now-cream colored brushed cotton flannel. HH cross stitched in lining over left hip with fine black thread. Pairs of bone eyelets in back; stout cotton braided cord (original?) with clamped steel tags. Busk channel formed by layer of sturdy PW cotton over lining, with side opening at top.
