Description

Entirely hand-stitched girl’s stay made of linen thread (MID). Twelve sections. Front is sky blue coarse linen (MID), center panel sky blue and ivory silk damask (MID) stitched with blue thread. Lined with unbleached coarse linen (MID). Top edges bound with white kid. Bottom edges with thin leather except for blue silk tape (MID) along the center front sections. Hand-stitched eyelets in back opening. Wood rod inserted in back edges. Deep pointed waist, tabs, conical shape, higher in back. Reinforced with strip of linen tacked along waistline inside.
