Girl’s corset, entirely hand stitched, made of white cotton, self lined, without any corded sections. Cut in one piece with small bust gores, hip gores. Corded edges with buttonholed eyelet holes for laces. Wide busk channel with buttonholed opening inside top to receive it. Appears to have been worn seldom, if ever. Inked museum accession number, 1942.19, crossed out in ink on lower right bottom edge. Waist between eyelets is 19” - seemingly an impossible size, and it leaves a good 4-6” agape in back on the smallest mannequins. The shoulders are wide by comparison.Collection
