Description

Machine-stitched costume made of brown lining cambric which may have been black originally; sewn with black thread. Tailcoat (a) - with long, round tails, the tail edges are faced with black fabric. 2-piece sleeves; waist seam and usual back and side seams associated with proper tailoring. No fasteners, lining, or pockets. Trousers (b) - have fly front closed with unmatched blued steel pants buttons, strap with blued steel buckle in the back. Black cotton waistband. Original hand-stitched hem turned up to form deep cuffs. No lining or pockets.
