2” ball of z2s soft white cotton thread with 4 double pointed steel knitting needles, one loose and the other three still inserted in a 2” long tubular form, probably a stocking since it has a 1/2” simple hem finish worked around the end. There is a strange section near the needles that looks like it wants to be a design— but failed. The knitting is of rather uneven quality: a child’s work, abandoned?Collection
