Description

Entirely hand-stitched child's waistcoat made of cotton. Single-breasted. Pointed bottom, slightly notched narrow shawl collar meeting halfway down the chest. Two wide welt pockets at the waist neatly worked into the design of the fabric. Black silk velvet with pairs of blue ribbed satin vertical stripes, crossed by pairs of banded red/yellow stripes. Seven self-buttons - bone molds. Leather facing to front hem; lined with slightly glazed ivory cotton cambric; fronts lightly padded. The back is twilled glazed brown cotton. Wide straps across back with 3 pairs of brass eyelets laced with original black-covered brown plied cotton laces with one original brass tag remaining. Tom Shaw: leather lower front facing. Brass lacing tab eyelets. Interior padding. Longer waist.
