Description

Mostly hand-stitched 2-piece dress made of cotton. The design consists of brown ground with a floral block or cylinder print. Bodice (a) - front opening. Long dart each front. Curved fake SB seam. Slight V neckline. Long straight cuff-less sleeves. High waist. Reworked: piece cut from seam margin to enlarge sides and underside of sleeves. Bodice lined with glazed cotton. Skirt (b) - reattached crudely. Unlined. Hem is faced with what appears to be an early 2-color cylinder print except it is imperfect- may be a block print.
