Description

Entirely hand-stitched 2-piece dress made of black silk satin. Bodice (a) - has a medium-deep point at the waist. Boned and fully lined. Shirring at the center front waist point and shoulders. Straight, somewhat loose sleeves gathered into narrow cuff bands. Jockeys trimmed with 1” simple black plied fringe. High neckline. Hook and eye closure in the front. Skirt (b) - Unlined. Narrow unpressed pleats in front, and cartridge pleats in back. Attached to the narrow PW cotton waistband hem is faced with brown PW cotton. One concealed pocket in the left front.
