Description

Small dress, entirely hand stitched sheer white muslin covered with tamboured sprigs. Bodice, no darts, cut on bias; back opening. Medium high round neckline, high waistline, shoulder seam toward back, side seam just back of arm. Skirt formed of straight and gored panels, smooth across front, gathered onto bodice back which has plied cotton drawstring in back section, string wraps around to front where it appears to have frequently been pinned in place. 3 rows of pairs of tucks near 2” frill around hem. Tiny drawstring in back neckline. Long baggy sleeves gathered into armscye onto PW linen tape; narrow cuffs with Dorset buttons, self frill. Unlined. Bodice cut away from sleeves along armscye; sleeves remained mounted with tape showing. Deep tuck put into upper sleeves; also into mid-sleeve
