Description

Entirely hand stitched sheer muslin sprigged with buttonhole stitched dots. High waist, set in waistband, hooks and eyes (original?); full sleeves, quite long with very narrow lower halves punctuated by three equally spaced inset strips, the third forming a narrow cuff; closed on each one with a thread loop over a small Dorset button. Wide, low neckline, piped; shoulders have three crosswise bobbinet insertions adjoined by slightly shirred sections. slightly gathered skirt fuller in back; skirt finished with 2 rows of ruching with piped edges above hem. No linings. Back opening; no fastener at neckline
