Dress made of fine poplin (fine silk warp with cotton weft) with brocaded stripes. Shaded blue and violet-gray on brown ground. Trimmed with deep blue and black fringe on jockey and bottom of bell sleeve. The skirt has been crudely reattached. Kept for interest in fabric and colors. A Pekin striped fabric with a distinctive waxy sheen. Looks like it could have been a logwood purple once, instead of tan. It would have been fairly costly, and the fringe is pretty spectacular.Collection
