Description

Mostly hand-stitched 3-piece dress made of double-pink printed cotton. Shoulder seams and the neckband are machine-stitched. The full skirt is unlined. The cartridge is pleated onto a normal waist. Dress (a) - loose over the front underling which hooks closed. Shirred at the center front and back waist. High neckline with a standing collar. Jockeys with triple self-frills. Left and right sleeves (b,c) - removable sleeves are fastened with white China buttons to the lining of the jockey. These sleeves have the greatest fullness at the top and taper to the wrist, closing with slit and concealed hooks. 3 vertical rows of self-frills from the wrist to the elbow. The hem is finished with a pale pink wool braid. There is a heavy cotton underlining with an extra layer added between the center front and the first bone.
