Description

Entirely hand stitched wedding dress of white cotton, fine boucle weave forming stripes and rectangles, with stylized tulip border at hem. Medium wide and deep scoop neck, smooth bodice, back opening with no fasteners; sleeve jockeys with muslin frills (sleeves made of the dress fabric were cut off at the armscye); each jockey has a tiny eyelet at the top by the shoulder seam to permit tying it into a draped arrangement. High waistline, armscyes set wide on shoulders. Narrow skirt made of 2 straight panels, smooth in front, fullness set across back with small box pleats. Hem finished with about 3” muslin frill.
