Description

Dress, entirely hand stitched, made of soft, thin, celadon green satin. Apron-front skirt, pleated neatly, the top folded to the inside to form a casing for a silk tape drawstring. Back of skirt has elegant pleats across back. Bodice, lined with glazed white cambric, has CF opening whose top and bottom edges have brown ribbon drawstrings; shoulder ‘straps’; somewhat deeply-set armscyes on wide shoulders; faux side back seams formed by finely worked outline stitches. Sleeves are long and narrow with a bit of fullness toward top; ends are faced and have a vent with curved corners.
