Description

Entirely hand-stitched older girl’s dress made of peach-colored ‘cashmere’ wool; utterly unadorned. Long waist with piped seam. The skirt is attached with a double row of shirring. Short tubular sleeves with deep tuck. Slightly wide round neckline. Back opening with MOP buttons. Bodice lined with white cotton. Sleeves are lined with brown cambric; also used to face the hem. No stitch marks to suggest there was any decoration.
