Description

Entirely hand-stitched long infant gown made of white cotton. Fairly high waist. Wide and full but short puffed sleeve topped with a pair of ‘petals’. Wide, square drawstring neckline bound and trimmed with Bucks lace edging which is also used to trim hem, petals and bound sleeve edges. Bodice eased and skirt gathered into lace insertion cased waistband. The lace is needle-run design on bullethole net. Same lace used to define a V with a crossbar on the bodice, and insertion band above deep hem.
