Description

Entirely hand-stitched infant’s long gown made of very fine cambric. Ayrshire-type eyelet embroidery and handmade Valenciennes lace insertions. The bodice has a V panel made of alternating bands of lace and embroidery, repeated in the tablier of the skirt between sections of narrow tucks. The two lower tucked sections have chevrons of lace insertion and little vertical bands in the hem. Deep band of narrow tucks above 2” hem. Embroidered robings on the skirt and the bodice going around the back of the neck. Embroidered frilled sleeves. Narrow lace edging on the neck. Drawstrings at both the neck and the waist.
