Hand and machine-stitched girl’s 2-piece dress made of silk taffeta. Blue with gray pinstripes. Long waisted polonaise (a) - deep false lapels of deep red velvet outlining a shirred panel which has concealed hooks and loops on proper left for closure. Tight shaped sleeves finished with deep red velvet turn-back cuffs. Ditto velvet standing collar. Pannier effect formed by pleating lower sides of polonaise on front edges; one has curved corner, the other square. Unlined. Small bright red velvet-trimmed tails in back over skirt bustle. Bustled skirt (b) - has bright red velvet band above hem finished with narrow kilted flounce.Collection
