Description

Girl’s dress made of dark blue, pink, and gold cross-striped or checked shot silk taffeta. The bodice is lined with off-white cambric. Long, smooth bodice with gently curved piped waist and long bust darts. Wide, shallow scoop neckline. Back opening with hooks and eyes along a soft bone. Short two-tier frilled sleeves trimmed with blue silk braid. Long bone from neck to natural waist. Skirt cartridge pleated to the edge of the bodice. Pocket on the right side. Faced hem. The side seams, once boned, were let out a bit, and the skirt lengthened by adding a strip to the top edge, discreetly.
