Description

Entirely hand-stitched waistcoat made of silk with a figured floral sprigs pattern. Single breasted, with six single buttons on right made of wood or possibly carved nut. Shawl lapel is shallow and high. The center front has a pointed waist. Two pockets without flaps in front, parallel with ground (not bottom of waistcoat). Lining and backing of plaid broadcloth cotton. It has been widened at some point, as waistcoat back, lining, and collar indicate the addition of fabric. Back has two cotton ties for tightening. No interior pockets.
