Entirely hand-stitched dressing gown made of citron green silk taffeta with a modes brocade floral stripe, quilted with paired-line diamonds. It has a narrow, roundcollar, waist in back with piped seam into which the back skirt is gathered; waistless front cut to hand with an angled overlap in front; no fasteners except for a pair of olive silk tapes run through seperate channels at the inside waist, meant to gather the back a little more while typing in front to bring it closer to the weaver's back. Very low armsyces, piped, with narrow sleeves slightly larger at the top. Lined with light brown lining cambric. No pockets, belts, or ties. No evidence of pinning at the throat. Seems a very likely candidate for maternity wear or for a fairly large woman.Collection
