Description

Entirely hand-stitched frock or top for a small boy. Sky blue and tan plaid silk lined with white thin cotton. Long sleeves; front opening; slightly low round neckline; long tubular sleeves. Plain white pearl buttons down the front over a concealed row of black hooks and eyes; pleated frill down the front, shy of the top by about 2 inches, presumably because a collar or frill was worn with it. Waistband with short shelf frill or basque-effect. Back and front have narrow vertical pleats stitched across in 2 places to keep them flat; front has yoke extending to center front waist outlined in matching cord which is also used on the back yoke, top of waistband, and armscyes.
