Description

A rectangular bee box. It has two sliding doors, one in the front with a window, and a solid one in the center. Honeycomb remains are present on the bottom.

Context

A sliding lid covered the top and in this was a wire-screened window. Bee hunters would go into the fields, catch bees, and place them in the box, which contained honey. After the bees collected the honey, they were released.
