Description

Man in blue frock coat over pattern waistcoat, patterned cravat, pin striped pantaloons. Lady in simple white dress with elaborate, wide double pelerine with scallops, embroidery, and wide blue ribbon run through zigzag 'beading'. Lingerie cap, pleated heart shaped stand-up brim with red flowers. Next leans against a heavy library table, wearing soft white dress with infant bodice whose gathers are restrained with 3 rows of pink ribbon, also used to trim frills at bottom of short sleeves, and bands at the hem. Her friend in the blue chair wears a gray dressing gown with pleated-top collapsed demi-gigot sleeves. Triple frill at neck, frilled petticoat showing at open front below. Long lappets on day cap. Last one wears simple yellow dress with tight elbow length sleeves enlarged with 2 deep black lace tiers. Black apron. Servant? 8 drawings of accessory details.
