Description

Black silk taffeta petticoat. Entirely machine-stitched. Gored panels with flat front and side, CB has slightly gathering at CB, with closure of hook and eye. Set into thin waistband of self fabric. Not lined. Bottom hem is finished with a turn and turn hem of 2" depth, with edge trimmed in black twill tape. Overlay of black silk taffeta at hem of deep ruffle, accordian pleated. Bottom edge of this ruffle has gathered flounce trim. All in same silk taffeta in black. Machine stitching originalyl done in black thread, which as faded to brown.
