Infant long gown of plain weave cotton, fine. Body of long gown is gathered to yoke in back, but in front a center front panel is smooth. Center front panel continues over shoulders into back of long gown. Hem of skirt is trimmed by three rows of tiny tucker - 7 tucks in each row. Deep hem facing of 3.75". Center front panel that continues into the back is made form 8 rows of vertical tucks, punctuated by vertical rows of machine-embordered cotton panels, of eyelet whitework - not quiet broderie anglaise. Long sleeves, also with tucks near cuff edge set into armscye with piping. Shaped sleeves and no gusset in underarm. High round neckline and edges of sleeves, and bordering the CF panel, are trimmed with machine-embroidered tape.
