Description

Entirely hand-stitched man’s dressing gown, except for the topstitching close to the edges of the collar, front opening, and welts. Made of dimity (textured cotton) with large-scale lapis print in stripes. Double-breasted except it lacks the second row of buttonholes and flat, self-covered buttons. Small collar, wide-elbowed coat sleeves, long body with the center back seam and side back seam, with a distinct flare at the sides. Two side and one breast pockets with bound openings and brown glazed cotton bags. Lined with thin, scarlet wool flannel.
