Printed on tombstone: "Sacred to the Memory of", handwritten in brown ink: "Elisha S Weed who died Feb 1st 1853 aged 17 years 5 months 14 dys / Has gone to the grave is he who we loved / and lifeless that form which so manfully moved the clods of the valley encompass his head / the marble reminds us a brother is dead". Printed on margin: "N. Currier 152 Nassau St. Cor of Spruce N.Y."
