Girl’s muff of ermine. Lined with thin bodice-weight white twill cotton, typical of mid-century; facing of thin pale pink plain weave silk around openings was made into neat casing for a simple plain-weave thin silk ribbon (also period-typical) made into a modest bow on each side. Stuffed with coarse horsehair with a layer of cotton batting next to the skins, which are hand-sewn together.
