Lady's 1890s wedding ensemble featuring 6 pieces:
Bodice - Satin oversized short sleeves in cream, with body of bodice made from cream silk taffeta. Structured with tailoring seams, boning across interior waist, waist tape. CF hook and eye closure, lined with brown glazed cotton;. Pleated satin silk collar stand, with bow CF. Tide lines stains on sleeves.
Skirt - Full skirt of silk taffeta, with silk satin details on either side above hem, topped with bows. Top half of skirt is lined with plain weave cotton, while bottom 1.5' is stiffened with cotton canvas, glazed cotton strip/facing, and dark tan velvet tape across bottom hem edge. Gathering in CB, with CB closure of hooks and eyes. Step into waistband to to be smooth in font and sides. Gored panels.
Belt - pleated silk satin in cream, matching collar stand. Lined with brown cotton glazed fabric, stays across length, and silk taffeta in cream facing. Hook and eye closures at CB.
Bertha overlay - notched satin silk scallops, with machined lace (embroidered net) across bottom edge tacked in simply on interior. Bow of satin CF. CF of lace has one small dark brown stain
Petticoat - plain weave cotton petticoat gathered all around waistband. Three tiers of tucks and lace tape near hem. Some tearing of the lace in spots - to be repaired.
Chemise - plain cotton chemise with lace (embroidered netting) yoke and small shoulder straps. Some discoloration but no holes, tears, or loses.Collection
