Man’s top hat made of gray beaver or other fur felt. Flat brim. 1/2” gray grosgrain hatband knotted at side. Lined with fine silk gauze mounted on white paper. The top lining has narrow green floral stripes woven into the gauze; printed in gold: "Williams 148 Genesee St, Utica" Brass ventilator with printed gold ‘frame.’ Deep black leather sweat band. About 7” tall. From front, flares a bit at top while from side it tapers very slightly toward top.Collection
