Entirely hand stitched blue silk hood having rows of deep wadding separated by narrow unstuffed rows. Back section and 1.5” cape are also stuffed. Lined with pink glazed cotton. Overall form seems trumpet shaped as for the 1840s. Long 2” wide black silk ribbons seem to be a recent addition.Collection
