Wooden sign painter's trade sign. Image includes the tools of a sign painter including several kinds of brushes, palette, T-square, wooden bucket for lead paste, tin turpentine container, palette knife with paint mixed, and tin cup. It is believed there was once matching decoration on both sides.Context
The donor believes this sign was found in the house of an acquaintance who bought the house from the State of New York. The house was originally located at the Dept of Environmental Conservation's Lake Erie Fisheries Unit, in Dunkirk, NY, and she moved it a couple of hundred feet to its present location.Collection
