Small embroidery "worked by Hope Maxwell in 1784". Features the fable of " The Fox and the Grapes", possibly combining it with "The Fox and the Crow", as there is a crow (or raven) sitting atop a house. The house is surrounded by grape vines with bunches of grapes hanging from them. The fox tries to jump up to reach them. Worked in shades of green, brown, white, purple, and black.Collection
