Description

Entirely hand-stitched lady's evening bodice made of silk taffeta. The bodice is tailored using darts. The deep point is at the center front, and the shallow point is at the center back, which is a crisscross lacing closure with hand-bound eyelets. Ties (black) are not original to the bodice. Short sleeves, and "bertha" overlay. The bodice is lined with brown glazed cotton. Boning made of baleen at the center front, sides, and back lacing. Chenille trimming across bodice and sleeves, consisting of netted fringe with triple pom-poms hanging every 2". Underarm stains.
