space pin stripes, white patterened waistcoat. He offers a cigar to his friend. Second wears
black long overcoat over brown frock coat and light blue checked pantaloons. Third shows
back of frock coat above vermicular patterned pantaloons. Fourth is seated a chess table
weating a dark green dressing gown with shiny red shawl collar and deep cuffs, red cord
ties, black smoking cap. Cigar in hand. Fifth looking on with a gray overcoat (apparently)
worn over a black double breasted frock coat. Second man at game is in his shirt sleeves
so we see a fancy bosom with diagonal patterning and narrow frill. Blue waistcoat with
pocket flaps, odd oval bordering around shawl collar edge, breaking from collar to body to
the hem. Black and gray pinstripe pantaloons. Sixth wears rich blue paletot with wide, redlined
bell sleeves over brown pantaloons with horizontal stripes or band, with a patterned
