Two-piece lady's evening or dinner gown with a bodice with ‘robe’ train and skirt.
Bodice (a) - small puffed sleeves with long torso; not yet a straight front corset, but not the curved stomach/torso shape of the 1880s. Sleeves are slightly puffed at caps, and gathers. Bodice center front and forearm sleeves are of golden-olive colored silk satin with black machine-net overlay. Black lace insertion tapes are attached to portions of the black netting. Black silk fabric of back of bodice and train/robe are embroidered silk. There is a waist tape inside the bodice; which has stays at each seam with maker label.
Skirt (b) - same golden olive silk satin with black netting overlay with some lace tape insertion. Gathering at center back with center front closure of hook and eye.Collection
